खलङ्गा, ३० भदौ ,जुम्लाको तिला गाउँपालिका–२ का सबै घरधुरीले पुस्तौँदेखि भेडापालन व्यवसाय गर्दै आएका छन् । सो गाउँमा ८५ घरधुरीको बसोबास छन् । उनीहरु पुस्तौँदेखि भेडापालन व्यवसाय गर्दै आएका हुन् ।

गाउँपालिकाको मुकाम डुन्डेलीबाट ४५ मिनेट पैदलयात्राबाट पुगिने सो गाउँ तलबाट हेर्दा सबै पहाडैपहाडजस्तो देखिन्छ । तर, त्यही गाउँमा पुग्दा भने केही फराकिलो जमिन भेटिन्छ । पहाडको काखैमा घरैघरले भरिएको गाउँको मुख्य आम्दानीको पेसा भनेकै भेडापालन हो । यही भेडापालन व्यवसायीबाट छोराछोरी पढाउने, औषधिमुलो गर्ने र लुगाफाटो फेर्नेलगायतका आवश्यकता पूरा हुने गरेको स्थानीयवासी बताउँछन् ।

गाउँमा सरकारी जागिर खाएका मानिसहरू औँलामा गन्न सकिन्छ । गाउँमा भेडापालन नगरेका कोही पनि छैनन् । २० भन्दामाथि भेडा रहेको धेरै घर छन्  । सो गाउँमा झन्डै एक हजारजति भेडा छन् । अहिले भेडाको मासु प्रतिकेजी रु नौ सयदेखि एक हजारसम्म बिक्री हुने गरेको तिला गाउँपालिका–२ लर्मीगाउँका भक्तबहादुर रावतले बताउनुभयो । भेडाको ऊनबाट उत्पादन हुने राडीपाखी प्रतिगोटा रु चार हजारदेखि चार हजार पाँच सयसम्म बिक्री हुने गरेको स्थानीयवासीको भनाइ छ ।

अघिल्लो वर्ष गाउँबाट एक व्यक्तिले रु सात लाख मूल्य बराबरको राडीपाखी बिक्री गरेको थियो । गाउँमा भेडापालन व्यवसाय भए पनि चरन क्षेत्रको अभाव छ । जताजतै खनजोत गरेपछि चरन क्षेत्रको अभाव भएको हो । अर्काेतर्फ लामो समयदेखि खडेरीका कारण सुक्खा हुँदा भेडापालन व्यवसाय प्रभावित हुँदै आएको स्थानीयवासी कर्ण रावतले बताउनुभयो । सोही गाउँका बिर्खबहादुर रावतले भन्नुभयो, “भेडापालन व्यवसाय यहाँको पुख्र्यौली पेसा हो । भेडापालन व्यवसाय यहाँको मुख्य आम्दानीको स्रोत भएकाले स्थानीयवासीले व्यवसाय छोड्न सकेका छैनन् । यही व्यवसायबाट आयआर्जन गर्ने गरेका छौँ ।” बालबच्चा बढाउने, खाना, औषधिमूलो गर्ने यही व्यवसायबाट टार्ने गरेको स्थानीयवासी रावतले बताउनुभयो ।

पशु सेवा कार्यालय जुम्लाका प्रमुख गोविन्द महतका अनुसार जुम्लाका भेडापालनको सङ्ख्या बढ्दो क्रम रहेको छ । अझ तिनै तहका सरकारले यो व्यवसायलाई महत्वका साथ कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन गरेको खण्डमा जुम्ला मासुमा आत्मनिर्भर हुने सम्भावना रहेको छ । यो पेसा व्यवसाय चुनौती भए पनि कृषकले भेडापालन व्यवसाय छाडेका छैन । कार्यालयले भेडापालन किसानलाई अनुदान दिने जस्ता काम पनि गरेको कार्यालय प्रमुख महतले बताउनुभयो ।
