गत असारमै जिल्ला अस्पतालमा अक्सिजन प्लान्ट स्थापना गर्ने भनेर सम्झौता भएको थियो । तीन महिना वित्न लाग्दा पनि हालसम्म अक्सिजन प्लान्ट स्थापनाबारे अन्योल छ ।

सम्झौता गरिएको कम्पनी लापरवाहीका कारण प्लान्ट स्थापनामा ढिलाइ भएको हो । असारभित्र प्लान्ट निर्माण गर्ने गरी हेल्थ केयर सप्लायर्स, काठमाडौँ र अस्पतालबीच सम्झौता भएको थियो । प्लान्ट स्थापनाको काम सुरु हुन नसकेको जिल्ला अस्पतालका प्रमुख चिकित्सक डा वसन्तराज जोशीले बताउनुभयो । प्लान्ट स्थापना गर्न सङ्घीय सरकारबाट रु एक करोड ५० लाख र सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेश सरकारबाट रु ८० लाख प्राप्त भएको छ ।

“गत आर्थिक वर्षभित्र जडान गरिसक्ने गरी असारमा दुवै पक्षबीच सम्झौता भएको हो”, जोशीले भन्नुभयो, “असारमा काम गर्न नसक्ने भनेपछि एक महिना म्याद थपिएको थियो । कम्पनीको मान्छेसँग सम्पर्क गर्दा चीनबाट सामग्री मगाएका छौँ, अझै नेपालमा पुगेको छैन भन्ने जवाफ आएको छ ।” कम्पनीले सम्झौता गरे पनि समयमा काम नगर्दा अन्योल भएको उहाँको भनाइ छ । भदौसम्म पर्खिने र उक्त समयमा पनि काम गर्न नसके अर्को कम्पनीको खोजी गर्ने अस्पतालको तयारी छ ।

कोरोना महामारीको दोस्रो लहरसँगै जिल्लामा अक्सिजन अभाव भएपछि प्रदेश सरकार र सङ्घीय सरकारले प्लान्ट स्थापनाका लागि बजेट विनियोजन गरेको हो । तेस्रो लहर आए उपचारमा समस्या हुने देखिन्छ । जिल्लामा प्लान्ट नहुँदा सिलिन्डर खरिद गरी अक्सिजन आपूर्ति गर्नुपर्ने अवस्था छ । “प्लान्ट स्थापना गरिए ५० शय्याको अस्पताल सञ्चालनमा ल्याउन सहयोग पुग्छ, शल्यक्रिया गर्न तथा सघन उपचार कक्ष सञ्चालनका लागि पनि सहज हुन्छ”, जोशीले भन्नुभयो । अस्पतालसँग हाल एक सय ६ अक्सिजन सिलिन्डर रहेको छ । जिल्लामा हालसम्म कोरोना सङ्क्रमणबाट १८ जनाको मृत्यु भइसकेको छ ।
