कञ्चनपुरको शुक्लाफाँटा नगरपालिका–१२ वसन्तपुरमा जङ्गली हात्तीको आक्रमणबाट एक दम्पतीको मृत्यु भएको छ । जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय कञ्चनपुरले दिएको जानकारीअनुसार मृत्युहुनेमा वसन्तपुरका ५५ वर्षीय ध्वजबहादुर कार्की र उहाँका श्रीमती ४५ वर्षीया मधुराको आज विहान मृत्यु भएको हो ।
इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय झलारीबाट प्रहरी निरीक्षक कर्णबहादुर बोहरा नेतृत्वको प्रहरी टोली घटनास्थल प्रस्थान गरेको जनाइएको छ । प्रहरीले दिएको जानकारीअनुसार नजिकैको सामुदायिक वनबाट नौ÷दशका सङ्ख्यामा रहेको जङ्गली हात्ती गाउँ पसेपछि स्थानीयले हो–हल्ला गरेका थिए । सोही क्रममा कार्की दम्पतीलाई हात्तीले आक्रमण गरेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ ।
“डिलाशैनी सामुदायिक वनबाट आएका हात्तीले आक्रमण गरेको हो ।” घटनास्थलबाट शुक्लाफाँटा–१२ का वडाध्यक्ष बाले रानाले भन्नुभयो, “अझै जङ्गल किनारका बस्तीमा हात्तीले आक्रमण गर्नसक्ने त्रासदी छ ।”
