म्याग्दीको धवलागिरि गाउँपालिका–२ लुलाङमा रहेको दरखोला दोस्रो लघु जलविद्युत् परियोजनाको विद्युतगृह बाढीले बगाएको छ । गएराति अविरल वर्षासँगै आएको बाढीले ४५ किलोवाट क्षमताको लघु जलविद्युत्को विद्युतगृह बगाएको हो ।

वर्षासँगै नदीको तटीय क्षेत्रमा गएको पहिरो र बाढीका कारण लघु जलविद्युत् परियोजना बगाउँदा करिब रु एक करोड ५० लाख बढीको क्षति भएको गाउँपालिकाका अध्यक्ष थमसरा पुनले बताउनुभयो । उहाँका अनुसार दुई वर्षअघि पुनःनिर्माण गरिएको उक्त परियोजनाबाट ३७८ घरधुरीले विद्युत् सेवा उपभोग गर्दै आएका थिए ।

मध्यरातमा अविरल वर्षासँगै आएको बाढीले विद्युत्गृहको भवनलगायतका महत्वपूर्ण सामान बगाएको छ । बाढीले परियोजनाको बाँध र नहरमा समेत ठूलो क्षति पु¥याएको छ । बाढीले तटीय क्षेत्रको जमिन र बस्तीमा समेत क्षति पु¥याएको छ । लघु जलविद्युत्को विद्युत्गृह बगाएपछि स्थानीय बस्ती अन्धकार बनेको र स्थानीयवासीको जनजीवनमा प्रत्यक्ष प्रभाव पार्ने देखिएको स्थानीय लुलाङ आधारभूत विद्यालयका प्रधानाध्यापक नागेन्द्र ठाकुरले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।

“यहाँ केन्द्रीय प्रसारणको पहुँच छैन, लघु जलविद्युत् बगाएपछि मोबाइल चार्ज र साँझमा बालबालिकालाई अध्ययनमा समेत समस्या हुने भएको छ”, प्रअ ठाकुरले भन्नुभयो । बाढीले लघु जलविद्युत्मा पु¥याएको क्षतिको अवस्थाबारे अहिले स्थानीय जनप्रतिनिधि, युवा क्लबलगायत प्रतिनिधिको टोली निरीक्षण गर्न खटिएको गाउँपालिकाले जनाएको छ ।

विसं २०७२ साउनमा जुगेपानीमा आएको पहिराले विद्यु्तगृह र नहर बगाएर बन्द भएको दरखोला दोस्रो लघुजलविद्युत् परियोजना दुई वर्षअघि रु एक करोड ५२ लाखको लागतमा पुनःनिर्माण गरिएको थियो । लुलाङ, खोरीया, मेरनी र लमसुङका स्थानीयवासीले यस परियोजनाबाट लाभान्वित भएका थिए । वैकल्पिक ऊर्जा प्रवद्र्धन केन्द्रले रु ८५ लाख र धवलागिरि गाउँपालिकाले रु ५० लाख सहयोगमा स्थानीयवासीले जनश्रमदानसमेत गरेर यस परियोजनाको क्षमता बढाएर पुनःनिर्माण गरेका थिए ।
