पूर्वपश्चिम राजमार्गअन्तर्गत पर्ने कैलालीको लम्की सडकखण्डमा ट्रकको ठक्करबाट आज टीकापुर नगरपालिका–२ की ४० वर्षीया गोमा थापाको मृत्यु भएको छ । उक्त सडकखण्डको मिनी मार्केटमा आज मध्याह्न ना२ख ९३७० नं को ट्रक मोड्ने क्रममा दिएको ठक्करबाट पैदलयात्री थापाको घटनास्थलमै मृत्यु भएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयले जनाएको छ । घटनापछि आक्रोशित स्थानीय बासिन्दाद्वारा मध्याह्नदेखि अवरुद्ध पारिएको सडक साँझ प्रहरीले बल प्रयोग गरेर खुलाएको छ ।

जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका प्रवक्ता प्रतीक विष्टले घटनापछि उत्पन्न तनावको स्थितिलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिन अश्रुग्यास प्रयोग र हवाई फायरसमेत गर्नुपरेको बताउनुभयो । आक्रोशित स्थानीय बासिन्दाले ठक्कर दिने ट्रकका चालकमाथि कारवाही र मृतकका परिवारलाई क्षतिपूर्ति दिनुपर्ने माग प्रदर्शनसहित राजमार्ग अवरुद्ध पार्नुका साथै ट्रकमा समेत तोडफोड र आगजनी गरेपछि स्थिति तनावपूर्ण बनेको थियो ।

घटनालगत्तैबाट उक्त सडकमा आवागमन बन्द हुँदा गन्तव्यतर्फ गइरहेका सयौँ सङ्ख्याका यातायातका साधन बीच बाटोमै रोकिएका थिए । साँझ शव उठाएर परीक्षणका लागि टीकापुर अस्पताल लगिएको छ । ट्रक चालकलाई प्रहरीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएको छ ।
